On Stage

On Stage is offered as a creative opportunity and outlet for the performers of Onyx Color Guards and any other performer wishing to participate. Performers create their own program by choosing music, selecting costumes, set design, and equipment choices and then compose their equipment and movement vocabulary combined with staging options.

The number of participants varies by year and interest. We've had as many as 56 performers and as few as 10 at one time. The instructional staff and guests are asked to judge the event. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded to the top three performers in each division and an overall champion is named based on the highest total score.
